95 Seadoo Electrical help please

My 95 Seadoo GTS will die after about 4-5 minutes of running. It will restart fine, but die in a few seconds after that. If I let it set for 20 minutes, it will restart and run again for 1-2 minutes before dying again. At first I thought it was fuel, but it makes more sense that a temp sensor is cutting off the ignition. Is that possible???? Is there a way to check for it???

unplug it from top of motor. But think, its fuel related
