95 sea d00 580 wont start

First off my starter solenoid is bad so I have been trying to start it by crossing the terminals with a screw driver, the engine turns over fine but it does not fire even after dumping gas into the cylinders. I have never heard this ski run I bought it this way. It has normal compression and turns over fine. When I hit the start button it just clicks so I am assuming my solenoid is bad. I am also missing my safety shut off button cover thingie. This ski isn't new enough to have one of those special ones that need to be there is it? It should run if I just hold that down with my finger correct? Thanks.

I think your ski was pre DESS. Are you getting spark?

I will check for spark tomorrow. I would have to assume not though as I added fuel and the plugs are brand new never run. The three fuses inside the gray computer box were all fine. Yeah I did some research and as far as I can find the security key fob thing does not start until 1996.
