I was at the lake yesterday playing for about an hour and a half with no issues. Then the first ski I got running with the holding the starter button down to keep running then fixed itself. Yeah did it again . I think I have a new one for everybody on this forum because nobody gave me this answer.

I have been tinkering for an hour or so and to my suprise while I hold the trim it runs let go dies wtf. yesterday I was trying to trim it and it would shut off didnt think much of it untill it quit running after I got it unjammed. I have the trim buttons pulled out of the handles now so there is no interference with the kill switch . I also tried to unplug it from the 3 prong plug and no change.

My other seafoam ski lol.. I guess seafoam only cleaned it out for an hour or so once I got two people and a load it started to act up again. oh well at least I have narrowed them both down.

If anybody has any ideas about the trim switch would be much appriciated.

So, with a little help from your friends, your narrowing your troubles down a bit. I think I did make a suggestion that you had a problem with a switch. It's obvious you have an electrical wiring problem. Something no body here can see. Unless you go out there with a web camera for us......:rofl:

You are the man seadoosnipe. I didnt remember that you said switch.

Ok, so is it likely that I have a bad connection or could I have some wires crossed?

It was working fine (trim) and staying running ..then trim stuck everytime I hit the trim it would die. Got it unstuck and wouldnt run.. the only think that was not working right was the tach it works at idle then dies when you hit the gas .

still need help

I have dug up a schematic and everything appears to be right maybe I am overlooking something.. ground short the last time it just started working .

Limit switchs ,relays, these are the things I am thinking about but I dont know exactly how to check ?

I have power where is needed, there is no resistance from the switches farthest point to the brake off or split with the red and black. goes into the electronic control .

The purple has 11. volts when start button is pushed like it should right?

but it will only stay running while engaging up or down on the trim???

have a sunburn from leaning over the ski all day ...

Now, I have changed the solenoid, still nothing it will run for a few and then die. If you hold the trim it will stay running. The tach cuts out when reved with or without trim pushed.

Is this a bad connection from the magneto?
I took all the wires loose yesterday and put them back together,still no change.

I have figured it out for every bodies info. Maybe you guys knew and thought I was a dumbass thats why you let me figure it out ..or maybe we were all stumped .

I went through everything for two days ...
sunburnt back, no lake, damn what a weekend.
I was getting somekind of feed back when disengaging the start button hmmm

I search and search started and started with same result. weird how it was using the ground from the trim to stay running.

the starter kinda fell off..lol I guess where it didnt seem to be the right one and felt tight the last time I tightened it came loose. When it fell it stayed running. Problem ..well I stole the starter off my parts ski and....

Tada we have ski running ....Thank you for all your support and ideas
