Might have sucked up a rock but not sure. Ski was not running right so when I looked inside there was water half way up the battery. Pulled it to shore and up onto the lift looked at the impeller and checked the bottom grate and didn't see or feel anything. Tried to start it and the starter did very slow spins. Took the plugs out and it spun just fine. Am I going to have to tear the pump out to check?

Well not a stone but a piece of mesh from a bathing suit got sucked up the intake and wrapped Going to be a job getting it out it appears.

Ok tried to remove the pump and snap a bolt on the impeller housing. tired to get it out with left hand drill bits and easy outs but really messed it up. Not sure if I can redrill and retap or just replace it. Any suggestions?

So...and guys corrct me,,,that stud is held in place at the very back of the hull,,,i believe a 17mm nut holds it place,,,so,,,remove the 17,,,I use a very long (2 extensions),,on the end of a universal 3/8's swivel,,,with 17 mm socket on the end of the universal,,,I believe that should allow you pop the broken stud out into the rear pump cavaty...that stud is at the end of a large square retainer,,,then...you just go to brp and order a new one,,,and avoid the migraine of repairing the broken stud.

I am going to be away till Saturday. When I get I will take a look. I know the square retainer you mentions as I saw that when look at used housings and thought it was different from what was on my machine. I will double check this though. Thanks for the advice.

Well I finally got it out and what a mess that mesh made smh
Here is a pic where I messed up the bolt. It does not have access in the back so my question is will this be somewhat ok with only 3 bolts?
