94 XP only runs good on reserve.

When I give it full throttle it acts as though it is starved for fuel and will only idle. When I turn the lever to 'reserve' the engine runs fine. Could this be a fuel filter problem? Is the fuel filter for the main fuel line separate from the reserve line? Thanks for your help!--Robert

since reserve selection dont get used much, that gas flow aint clogged. Sounds like you need to remove that fuel selector valve and clean it out or replace it. If ur run'n the grey fuel lines, should replace those as well, 20-25ft of 1/4in fuel hose from any auto parts store, along with 25-30 s.s.clamps

Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds like the grey fuel lines are not too good, from what I have been reading. I will replace them and clean out the selector.

That will do it...If the performance is still not the best, then you 'll need to clean the carbs too.
