94 XP - Battery will not charge

just purchased a used XP - I am not 100% sure what year it is but I beleive it is a 94. It seems to run well after I charge the battery and will restart for awhile then the battery will go dead. I understand there is a magneto that charges to battery. Where is this located and How do I do to repair this?

Is your battery brand new? If not it may just be the battery not a holding a charge for very long. Buy a new and don't go cheap on it. If you buy a dry one you must fill the battery and then charge it before you use it. I bought one from Advance Auto that was non spill and ready to go out of box, great battery.
