I'm sort of new to the PWC world so i apologize if this is a common overpost - needed to replace the wear ring on my ski, the pump housing was corroded and stuck as most are and ended up being destroyed in the process of removing it. I've got the newer plastic 140mm housing as the aluminum housings are now discontinued and i am looking for the longer studs to accommodate this housing. If anyone could shed some light on where i might be able to find these longer studs and if the existing studs are threaded into the hull or basically embedded when it was made i would really appreciate it, thanks!!

Why would you need longer studs?? If you got the correct pump it should bolt up. Make sure you got right jet pump.

make sure your wear ring is seated fully. Did you clean out any sealant that may be on/near the mating surfaces?

Yes, sealant is cleaned and wear ring is fully seated. The tabs on the plastic housing are about twice the thickness of those on the aluminum housing. I can post pictures later tonight if that would help

Well if it makes helps yes they are threaded in with a nut on inside of hull covered by sealant. I've never attempted removing any ever so not sure how easy it is or if damage to hull can occur.

I contacted a local seadoo dealer, they said they have the studs in stock. I'm going to head there tomorrow and see what they have.

It will cost you alot more than getting it from one of the used parts guys. They can get it to you pretty quick.
