I was out the lake the other day riding for a couple of hours and then out of no where it loses power. It feels like it is running on one cylinder but when I pitch the seadoo side to side it would sometimes pick back up the power loss. Is there a pickup screen on the fuel tank clogged or do you think the fuel filter might be clogged up? I have also noticed a miss when at WOT, I am new to the sea doo thing so please spoon feed me some info.

Thanks

It sounds like you need to remove the carburetors and clean them. If you're careful and don't tear or damage the diaphragms you won't need to buy a rebuild kit. Pay attention to the internal filters too. If you have gray fuel lines you need to replace them with black fuel lines available from auto parts stores like Auto Zone. Measure the length you need and bring a sample with you so you get the correct size. Replace one at a time so you don’t get them mixed up. If you need clamps replace them too. Use small stainless steel clamps also from the auto parts store.

I hope this info helps.

Yeah I did alittle search and came up with about the same info, when I get off work I am going to go take the carbs out and see whats going on.

I'm sure this is the problem...

I torn into the pwc and this is what I found.

Pulled the picked up tube on the gas tank and the metal clip and rubber float came off and was floating inside the tank. I fixed that problem and then drained the gas and clean out the tank.

Clean the dirty gas filter, fixed

Pulled the carbs which took forever, those damn bolts are hard as hell to get to. Ended up taking a wrench, heating it up and bending it then grinded it down so it would finally work.

The screens in both carbs where clogged up along with rust build up on one side of the covers. Cleaned the cabs out, put everything back together so it was good to go.

Took it would to the lake and adjusted out the carbs and the thing was a screaming eagle. Thanks for the help.

Now I have a new problem, new thread.
