Anyone know of a chart or correct size for a 94 spx .587 motor wear ring size? I ordered a blue one off eBay that Said it would fit..when y I went to put it in ,it just dropped right in with no help,I installed the impeller chrome blades and it was super tight?.. with the tape measure I’m getting about 160mm on the black pump case IDfor where the OD wear ring should be pushed into place

I'm not an expert on aftermarket liners, but I have lots of experience with stock liners.

I have heard of many people putting in the aftermarket liners and having a tight or to tight of a fit. I have never had a problem with the fit using an oem liner.

I used an after market on my xp rebuild and had to use the pump shaft threading into the impeller to "drag" the impeller in to the liner. I soaked the liner with wd40 and used a milwaukee magnum drill and impeller spline tool to spin the impeller on the bench for two minutes to let it wear the liner so I could spin it by hand. Too tight of a fit for something that "meets oem specs".

It seems like there is an abundant supply of aftermarket parts for older DOOs (liners, gas selectors, electronics, carb rebuild kits, starters) and they are all, more or less, junk. Go with oem any time you can when it comes to repairs. Heck, I even ordered a base gasket for my xp and I swear it was cut out of cardboard by a child with dull scissors.

I ordered up an oem liner and have it hanging on the peg board above the bench for the next time.

Ok thank you for the chart ,it looks like they sent me a 139.5mm wearing so 140mm sounds like it will solve my problem, thank you for the help
