Ran for first time this season wonderfully!! several miles at normal speed. After about 1 hr. ski shut off. Cranked back right away. Ran for a few seconds shut off again-cranked again no problem. after several times of this we made our way to the dock using this method. Never didn't want to crank, pretty much on first try each time. Checked fuel for water, didn't seem to be the problem. If u have had this problem please respond....

First thing I would do is change the plugs, then check fuel filter. Good luck.

I am having the same problem with my 95 hx. Does it seem to just cut off or is it stalling out? I have not solved my problem yet but I pulled off my front cover and there was water in it so I think that is my problem.

I will let you know why I find out more.

Don't run it again until you have it checked out!

I had the same problem and ended up blowing the rear cylinder. Still not sure what caused this to happen (no oil, cooling or lean condition???). The engine rebuilder is going to let me know what he thinks after he tears the motor apart.

I have a feeling it is the oil pump.

Try this

Tighten all the clamps on the exhaust. My 1996 GTX had the same problem. It takes very little exhaust in the engine compartment to stall the engine.
