Have a 93 GTX that ran good last summer, took it out this year and had to jump the batt. at the lake. It turned over then stopped everything. I have taken out the box and checked the grounds and the fuses. The 5amp fuse was blown, as soon as I touched a new one in its place it blew it also. help

I am having the exact same problem, here is my description...

Ok, so I did not know that you could not jump start a ski. The person I bought the ski from jump started it to show me it ran and said that once I get it running the battery would charge. Well I took the ski home and jumped it a couple time (using a starting block) to try to get it running and it ran but the idle was too high, so I used the kill switch to kill it. I adjusted the idle and then the next time I tried to start it nothing happened. I was stumped, went on line and read that I must have poped a fuse, and to NEVER jump start a ski. I then went out and bought a new battery, charged it and bougt some 5 amp fuses to replace the one I knew I must have blown. Sure enough, I pulled the box and checked the fuse, it was blown. I added a new fuse and put the box back, hooked the battery and again nothing happened. I opened the box to find that it had blown the fuse AGAIN!

So now every time I put in a new fuse and connect the battery the fuse blows. I even tried connecting the battery and then putting in the fuse, and they just keep blowing. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Please don't tell me I blew the EPROM...

If you find a solution, please email me.

Thanks,
Jeff
