Just got (2) 93 XP seadoo's for $100. Seemed like a good deal and atleast worth my time to try and get one running again. One is just a parts seadoo but has everything, just in pieces. The other one is in decent shape but supposedly needs a stator. I used to work on polaris watercraft in college but have not had a lot of experince with seadoo's. I am capable of cleaning carbs, pulling motors and pumps and routine maintance stuff.

Trying to read up a little bit on how to test the stator. I do have a used stator also, Anyway to bench test it or would I be better off buying a new one instead of chancing the old one. Any other tips to get this ski running? It has been sitting for about 5 years. I am planning on checkking compression, draining fuel, changing fuel filter, plugs, fuel lines, cleaning carbs and looking at the elctrical stuff or changing stator.

How reliable are the oil injection systems on these? SHould I block it off and premix or are they pretty good? anything to help me out is appreciated!!

Ok, How do I remove the carbs? I can't seem to get to the four nuts that hold them on. DO I have to take off the intake or can I somehow get to the 4 nuts holding the carbs on?

the carbs are held on by 4nuts that are hard to get to
Sometimes you have to take off the thottle wheel to get to one of the nuts.
I would put the used stator on and leave the cover off and give it a try.

Ok, i will try to get the carbs off again. Thanks for the reply!

On the stator, Can this be done without removing the motor? I thought I read somewhere the motor needed to be pulled. Does anyone have a step by step for the stator replacement.? It looks like I can pull the front cover of the motor off and access it that way?
