I have a '93 SPX. In the morning (first thing), it runs fine and I have no issues. But later in the day, when you start it (after it has been sitting a few minutes), there is a very annoying beep. Sort of like a warning buzzer, but louder. As you increase the throttle, it goes away. As you get up to speed it goes away completely. But it will come back after sitting at idle for a bit.

What is this? Is it related to the cooling of the engine? Does it go away because of increased flow in the engine?

This happened again today. I had the ski out at the lake this morning and we ran it strong for about an hour. Then came back to the dock to grab a drink. We let it sit for about 15 minutes. Got back on it, and the beeping started. It's a long continuous beep that goes away as you get up to speed. Brought it back to the house (almost 30 minute drive) and started it up to flush the systems and the beep is no longer there.

What gives?
