Hi everyone,

I am having a little trouble with my ski. My ski starts and runs fine. I can get out on the water and ride all I want as long as I do not turn the ski off.

Once the ski gets warmed up, if I shut it off it will not restart for about 10-15minutes. I just kinda float until it cools down some. Okay until you start floating into some brush.

I have gotten it hot a couple times and pulled up to the dock and shut it off. Of course it will not restart. I put my spark tester on the spark plug leads and no spark at all. Wait 10-15 minutes and it will restart fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Check the vent tube to the fuel tank.If it won't allow the tank to vent it will slowly vent and then start...As a quick test when it happens open the fuel cap for a second, and see if it will start after you vent it manually. If you hear a huge sucking sound it is the vent for sure.
Let me know your progress.

How would the vent tube for the fuel tank have any affect on a lack of spark? The engine is turning over fine. There is just no spark.

Oops I had the phone in my ear ringing and 2 calls coming in as I was reading your post... Check the wiring to the coils to be sure it isn't corroded. If you still have no spark it might be a bad coil.

spark plug tester?? with the plugs in? check with plugs out,,,,Look for bright blue spark,, not wimply little yellow spark,, trim the wire back at the caps 1/4" and connect and zip tie,,, are the plugs new?

Also points of reference Check the Compression,

Check the ground wire. Tug it, remove it, tighten it. If still no luck, you need
to remove the electric box and check connections and tighten any loose nuts.
Especially the black ground posts. replace the two fuses.
