Ok the nephews couldn’t get the 1992 Seadoo Sp to run
it has a white 580 rotax in it. Rotary valve
this is right in my wheel house being an old skidoo snowmobiler
so now it has a new brain box. (Original problem because no spark)
rebuilt carb. Yes single carb version
new gas lines and filters right from the bottom of the gas tank to the carb
new plugs
tested and checked both tether and kill switch - both a ok
94 oct fresh premium gas mixed at just over a 100 to 1
pressure test fuel system. - no leaks
(I m not sure about a 30 year old oil pump)
starts on the trailer or lift every time
take it out on the water and if run under 5 minutes starts every time
i ve run it several times for 20 to 40 minutes with no issues
it idles runs half throttle (most of the time with me one it)
it works really well
when I stop it after these runs it won’t start
checked yes to gas , spark , motor can be touched and it’s warm but not hot
compression is 145-148
Pulled plugs. Nice tan not dripping wet
choke has no effect on trying to start it warm
don’t need choke when it’s cold btw
Put it on the trailer and it starts right up
ok anybody got any thoughts or input
thanks folks
