I recently got this ski. I was told that the overheat beep was going off. The PTO cylinder was hot.

I have bench tested and the pissers are working. The coolant is draining out the back with the hose on (and I realize its feeding the system backwards).

I figured it might be a lean issue and since it was so old I switched to premix. While pulling the oil pump I realized one of the oil lines was pretty gunked up and basically fell apart in my hand.

With that being said the front cylinder is not nearly as hot as the rear cylinder. They both have 110 psi compression. I have to take out on the water to see, but

1 Is it normal for the PTO cylinder to be hotter?
2Or is it possible the oil line caused some issue even though it appears the oil line feeds the rotary valve so it should be feeding both cylinders, right?
3 If the PTO cylinder is scored wouldn't the compression be less?

Thanks for any input.

Ideally the psi should be 150 psi per cylinder. 110 isn't that great. The oil injector injects each cylinder via each carb inlet line of the injector. Each carb is injected by it's own oil line. You might need to re build the top end to get the problem resolved. While the heads are off, I would check the cooling jacket of the cylinders and make sure the cooling lines are installed properly on assembly.
