Hello I have a 92 GTX Seadoo had for 2 years, the problem I have is the ski will run good for an hour or so no problems then the ski will just lose power and bogg down will not idle will not get any rpm's.smells like its flooded- I have changed the ignition coil and new spark plugs and I put new hoses in the fuel baffle. Any ANswers-I m leanning towards the carbs need reworked but Im not an expert. Thanks for this website greatly appretiated- Once it sits for a while it will run good again- water is shooting out the back good-the ski is not getting hot.

I'd check the high speed screw. On my 97 SPX, I can reach them w/the air box, etc. in place. Look at the plugs and if they show rich after a high speed shutdown, turn the high speed screws clockwise (assuming they are not already at the "zero" position). If its like mine, the screws should be on the top of the carbs towards the back. I'm no expert but if it smells flooded, then it likely is.

It sounds like you need to remove the carburetors and clean them. If you're careful and don't tear or damage the diaphragms you won't need to buy a rebuild kit. Pay attention to the internal filters too. If you have gray fuel lines you need to replace them with black fuel lines available from auto parts stores like Auto Zone. Measure the length you need and bring a sample with you so you get the correct size. Replace one at a time so you don’t get them mixed up. If you need clamps replace them too. Use small stainless steel clamps also from the auto parts store.
