I have a 93 GTX with freshly rebuilt OEM carbs and would like to put them on a 92 GTX as opposed to rebuilding the carbs on that one. I am mechanically competent and the question is this...
Is it easy to remove the manifold with the carbs and oil pump all together? it doesn't look too difficult but I'm not sure about the oil pump configuration.
Thanks!

Should be the same procedure as my 92 XP. Only 4 bolts and the whole thing comes off. 1 of the bolts is in a tight spot but it is doable.

You just have to disconnect the oil line to the pump. Put rags down to catch any spillage. And pinch the line. I thought in would take it off then just tie it off up high. Well I was not fast enough and what a mess I made.

But to answer it your question more precisely. Yes, it's easy.

Sorry, I need to clarify. This is to take off the whole rotary cover with the intake manifold, carbs and oil pump. It's the only way to get the carbs off.

Thanks! I was literally getting ready to do the swap and someone made me an offer on the ski I couldnt refuse :):):). When I put the ski up for the season I will pull the carbs and possibly the manifold for rebuild and inspection of the pump. Not sure if the pump inspection is needed? My thinking is an inspection may be beneficial but if not, I would prefer to avoid it if possible.
