Hey guys and gals,

Happy Fathers Day to those it applys to. I have a 2002 gtx on a galvanized trailer with 8x4.80 wheels and tires. I travel about 70 miles to the lake on the interstate to get to lake marion. Last weekend coming home i blew a tire on the interstate. No big deal, right? well i got the tire fixed this week, and went back to lake yesterday. I wasnt 10 miles out of charleston yesterday, and the other tire blew and completly shredded and ruined the wheel. well i put the spare on and checked the other side and the tire was FIRE HOT. Well now I had 60 miles left to go without a spare. We made it no prob, but the rubber was still burnnin. I was only driving 70 mph. I wasnt driving home without a spare after all this comotion, so I went to the local sea doo dealer at the lake. L&S marine in Manning,SC awesome people. Anyway I was going to buy another 8" spare but but I chose to buy a pair of 12 " wheels to replace my 8" wheels. The ride home was much more comfortable, and it trailed much better.

Anyway, what I am asking, has anyone with a jetski trailer with 8" wheels had any problems?

the 8in along w/ your 12in, are only rated to do 55mph...w/ the 12in, did you get the 5.30/12.

If you have Harbor Freight, you can get 12in spare there for 50 buks. Other than that, you can upgrade to 13in, w/ d78/13 tire, 2 of'm for 150 buks delivered from ebay (Gator Trailers)...and modify trailer fenders a little bit by puting 1in riser/bracket where the mount...

Timmy no I didnt, they only Had the 12x 4.80 is the wider tire rated for more speed? I may still be in the same boat. I used to live in riverside.....is that near inland empire,

Thanks Hank

no sh**...raised in Arlanza district, Norte Vista.

No, not rated for faster speed, but more load capacity. I'd let Miss Daisy drive, before hit'n 70mph, again, stud...
