I thought I had a bad T hose fitting - I had the motor running in the driveway with a hose hooked up. After replacing the clear line, it was still leaking water pretty bad. I looked closer only to see that it is coming up out of 6 or so holes at the base of the crankcase between the jugs. Can somebody enlighten me please?

It seems as if you have a leak between the cylinder and the crank case from the photo you have shared. I would make sure that without a shadow of a dout if it is possible where the water is coming from. You say that you see 6 holes that makes me think that the cylinder has a bad spot on it from defect or corosion or both if so you will need to repair or replace that cylinder. try to be sure if you can to find out where the water is coming from.

whats odd is that there are approx 6 holes there that look drilled (purposeful) as opposed to being corrosion. This is a fresh water ski, but it did have mice.

Who knows..maybe the little sunsab"---"es had a Dremel in there...

I am thinking it might have something to do with the way I am supplying water and perhaps this is a flush out port?

There are no holes between the cylinders that would allow water to come up from that area. I would look close as it might be a problem in the cylinder base allowing water to leak from either a crack in the cylinder water jacket, or the gasket from the cylinder itself.

The pic is really not that good, but I am sure I see the holes. They look a pretty consistant for some kind of corrosion. I don't know much about the inchangability of the seadoo engines. But if you just bought this I would say there is a wrong gasket or something going on there. I am just thinking. I don't know if you just bought it or just had work done, but to me it looks way to nice for corrosion.

you need to take a screw driver or something and "investigate",,,, put some pressure on the side of the water jacket and see if it crumbles,

sad but it is probably corrosion,

post back what you find

well,

I stuck a pick down in there and it is definitely gasket material. As I mentioned, there were mice and now I am wondering how bad the aluminum would be from where the urine would have collected.

At this point Im guessing my only option is to pull the top end to see exactly where the water is coming from. Thing is - it starts and runs fine. bc3
