Hi all,

I'm reassembling a 1996 GTX 787 engine and have a question on the spark plug o-rings. Specifically, should there be 2 o-rings per spark plug...one in the head cover and one on the spark plug threaded holes like shown in the attached pic?

Thanks for the replies,
Don.

I'm a little confused...are you saying the o-ring in the picture by my thumb should not be used? This is the one that I received with my top end kit.

Thanks,
Don.

The one by your thumb on the head is the new one, keep it right where it is.
The one in the top cover is the old o- ring that stuck there during disassembly, remove that. You only need one o-ring with a little bit of lube as POPPS said.

Got it. That makes sense and agrees with what I see on the parts diagram. Thanks for the help to you and POPPS!
