787 mag water channel cover repair

Anyone ever repair these. Nipples break off so easy. I have 3 broken.

I drilled tapped and inserted brass nipples with jb weld on the threads the for extra insurance

@NIL8er I didn't JB weld mine, just some sealant. LOL

Don't feel bad. I pulled a 951 DI engine recently and got kinda rough moving the engine around. I was verifying hose connections and routing on the bottom of the engine Next thing I knew both of the nipples were broken. I know better and still did it. LOL That bottom hose connection is especially vunerable. That whole part is a piece of crap. Good Luck

Yeah the JB weld was over the top for extra insurance, can't vibrate out.
