So here I am on my 3rd engine, and it's running great with everything adjusted as advised in service manual. Last week it was going along and then started to bog down again getting worse as I headed back to camp. Going over everything I decided to pop the adjustment limiters off the high speed mixture screws and found them turned all the way clockwise. Is this correct? I thought they were preset at factory and then capped as to only allow 1/4 turn adjustment range. If this is true does anyone have any idea of factory preset before limiting caps are on. I'm thinking it must be running lean and I'm going to cook another engine. I believe I am at least the third owner of this boat and who knows what adjustments have been worked on.
