787 Exhaust pipe won't line up

I just bought a 1997 Seadoo GTX and was working on returning it to being seaworthy, but I'm having trouble putting the exhaust back together. It came without the clamp and was already disconnected. I keep trying to align to the upper and lower, even unbolting the lower pipe but they don't seem to line up. They are close but not close enough. Also, there is a copper gasket silicone into the lower pipe, do I put a new one I bought on top or does it only take one? Any ideas? Thanks

There a pain to line up sometime you have to lossen the bottom exhaust up there’s 2 bolts that hold it in place. Jsut put some new copper sealant on the copper gasket
