:confused:I bought a 99 Challenger 3 months now, and was running fine until one of the engine shut off... I took it home sat there for 2 days and engine would not turn...I pull the plugs out and cranked....jeeezz... oil every where??? !!!
The oil reservior was almost empty both piston were full of oil?? What could have caused this???

the crankcase is not sealed, cases have to be relieved for crank bearing locating pins manufacturing defect

the bearing pin locates the crank bearing in the crankcase seadoo did not machine the crankcase with enough clearnce for the pin and the crankcase cannot close properly, the sealant weakens and the oil from the oiltank leaks into the cylinders through the rotary valve cavity. requires motor dissasembly to repair recomend getting motor running and clamp lower oil hose to crankcase when not in use

Thanks for the rapid response Otis
engine works and I do have the oil hose clamped . So now to the books...how hard can this be??? anyone done this before any suggestions???

otis. so it isn't the seals failing on 787's? it is something as simple not as machining a slot big enough to fit a pin intended for said slot? that is shoddy work. hell, grind the roll pin off. if bearing is gonna spin, a 2 mil pin isn't gonna stop it anyway.
