717 Rotax Engine Replacement Cost

Hi,

I'm just about to buy a 1997 Speedster for a great price. My concern is that something might be wrong and I may need to replace an engine. Can anyone give me the ballpark labor/parts cost of replacing or rebuilding an engine.

Hey Habs...check out the sbt website, if you think you can do it yourself, theres a company on ebay out of Florida, who sells a kit, that includes everything, crank, pistons, gaskets..etc, u get the pick, with shipping for $450. Just, with sbt, you get a 2yr uncond warr.
