70 MPH...yeah right

I saw this ad on Craigslist today.
Could this be right????

Both of these are 1999 Tigersharks 1100cc,
run great, start right up,
they both have New batteries and New spark plugs.
The Red one is a 2 seater, with adjustable trim, that is very fast will do around 70mph
and, the yellow & white one is a 3 seater with reverse that is fast and will keep up with the red one, will do about 65mph

Looks like they believe the dreamo-meters on their skis. Skis from that era used an inaccurate method to determine MPH. My 98 GSX Limited will tell me at times I am doing 70-71mph, but I know enough not to believe it.

Some people just don't know that they are inaccurate and believe what they see.

My bud's wave raider 1100 did 71 in 96, it was so weird when my 55mph kawasaki 1100 zxi ran run nose to nose with him.... Looking back, the Kawis speedo was the most honest ever, 56mph indicated turned out to be 55mph garmin gps. The tigers can't run any faster than 55ish.
