650 and 580 question....

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything in the search. Are these motors the same? I mean as far as intechanging them. I have an old XP that needs a motor, and have found a 587. It sure looks the same. My XP was/is complete, so I'm just looking at changing the long block. Any issues there???

different...

587=76mm bore with 64mm stroke
657=78mm bore with 68mm stroke.
