4-Tec Sportster Check Engine Light

Hey All!

I need some input.
I just got an engine rebuild and put it into the water on Sunday.
Boat idled fine at the dock, was perfect in now wake zone.
Then I accelerated it to around 30mph....ran fine for ten minutes and then *Beep* "Check Engine" and the accelerator cut the engine to around 2000rpms.
Anything I could check?
I know all fluids are good, oil and filter are new as well.....Any ideas?

I'm guessing you mean when I hook it up to a diagnostic computer, which I've never done....

So the mechanic has changed out a sensor twice already, so I take it out and its running really well for the first twenty minutes.....then, BEEP! check engine light, and engine bogs down.
I put it in neutral and take off the DESS.
Replace the DESS and it starts right up and runs perfect.......for the next twenty minutes, then BEEP!. Same as above for the rest of the day.
What could this mean? I just changed out the fuel pump thinking it was that, and it wasn't.
Any ideas welcome please.

It sounds like the mechanic that rebuilt/installed it needs to check it out.
