Bought a 2006 Sportster 215hp ( the one with the supercharger) about 2 months ago and finally had decent enough weather 2 weeks ago to try it out. Boat ran fine but I forgot to turn off the battery switch and when I tried it this past weekend it was dead. Charged the battery but now when I put the lanyard in I get 2 beeps followed by 4 beeps and it continuously beeps 4 times every 5 seconds or so. When I try to start it, it cranks over but won't start. Checked all fuses in the engine compartment and they're fine... not really sure what to try next as the boat was fine until I let the battery drain. Could it be the battery even though it cranks over?

4 beeps just means key on post and it’s not running. There is no diagnostic value to the beeps in your particular situation other than the boat thinking it is ready to start.

Noticed this morning on the side of the boat that it calls for regular gas but I was told to use a higher octane so I filled it with 91. No way this could cause the issue is there?

It wouldn’t crank if the neutral switch wasn’t happy. How old is the battery? Might be worth trying a known good battery. It could have enough to crank but not run all the other electronics needed to run as well.

Fuel pump priming when you put the key on the post? When were the spark plugs last changed?

No I don't hear the fuel pump when I put the key on. Not sure about the plugs as I just bought the boat but I was wondering about the fuel pump too cause I never smell any gas when it's trying to start
