3D's steering stiff at first

Has anyone heard about the the 3D's steering being very stiff at first? It loosens up "to normal" after the first 30 minutes of riding, then is OK for the rest of the day. The next morning it will be the same. Dealer has looked at it and has no ideas.

If you pop off the cable is it still tight? You can't really lube the cables, but the nozzle might also be the problem. It might need some lube on the critical pivot points.
