300 Oil Filters ??

Has anyone changed the oil in their new 300 yet ? I put my skis away last weekend and bought the 4 stroke oil change kits like the dealer recommended BUT when I pulled the oil filter from my 300 it is a KN style filter with the wire mesh all around it yet the kits only come with the standard paper style filter.

I called the dealer and they said there is NO different filter for the 300 other than the standard 4 stroke one but the stock one in the unit is def an upgraded version.

Anyone have any insite on this ??

I just looked up the part # 420956741 and all it shows in the normal filter that we all have been using.

Just an FYI the dealer called me back today and the 300 DOES have a different filter and CANNOT use the stock one in the 4 stroke oil change kit. So be aware when changing your oil if you are a 300 owner !

Is there a different part # for it ?? Where do you get the filter?

The part number is 420956744 as per the 2016 Sea Doo RXTX 300 parts fitch.

The oil change kit for the 1630 ACE engine is 295501156. This is off of the Sea Doo maintenance website. The list several different kits, one for the spark, one for the 1503 etc

You'll regret using the 260 filter. It'll get crushed quick. The 300's filter has the metal mesh.
