255 vs 260 hp?

I am looking at a 2012 180 Challenger SE, and it is listed as having a 255 hp HO engine, which agrees with the Seadoo brochures. But the shop manual says that (87CD) model has a 260 hp engine. Is there a difference, or are the two used interchangably?

Has anyone found a VIN/HIN decoder for these boats? I haven't had any luck.

U have to call brp give the vin # and they will confirm Hp rating ,because it obviously doesn't specify in the brochure
