250 Optimax Cuts out then restarts after 10 min

Hey All,

2003 Utopia 205 Optimax 250 - ran great for 40 mins tubing and skiing. Started cutting out like bad fuel, would start for a few seconds then die. Floated for 10 mins then started up and ran great back to the dock. Let her sit overnight started right up took a 30 min ride around the lake, then it did it again. After 5 mins started up and ran great back to dock.

It seems to not getting enough fuel when it dies, I just filled the tank up at a different station is the only thing I have differently. I run 89 in it.

Any ideas of what is causing it.

Sounds like it's overheating and the computer is shutting you down. OR... you are losing pressure on the high pressure fuel pump.

Unfortunately... on an Opti engine... you have to systematically check everything. You will probably need to take tools with you, and run the boat until it shuts down, and start checking it.
