So I decided to keep my Utopia.
Motor was taken out from hydrolock. Threw a rod. Insurance finally came through after getting my a lawyer involved. My mechanic is backed up, obviously. How hard is it to reinstall? Planning to buy the service manual. I've rebuilt diesel motors, but then again I took it apart.

There is a thread here by Dr. Honda about removing engine, welding the block, installing a sleeve, reassembly, reinstall in the boat. You need an engine hoist or overhead crane.

Carefully inspect the adapter plate under the engine. They have been known to have corrosion problems.

I have a complete power head coming. Soi shouldn't need to sleeve etc. I'll check into this thread for sure! Thank you

i just did mine on an optimax 200 the worst part was dropping in the engine for me as it had to be perfectly centered i needed a load leveler to do mine as it wouldnt want to line up to save my life because it was so rear heavy
