240 Merc EFI issue - 2004 islandia won't start after towing tube.

Hello, I have a 2004 Islandia 240 Merc EFI. It runs great, but when we pull a tube for a while and then turn it off it will not start for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then it starts and runs fine.

Could this a heat sensor issue or something bigger? Any ideas?

Sounds like you just have too much "Stuff" (oil/fuel fumes, and hot air) in the bilge, and it displaces fresh air. Mine doesn't like to start either after a hard run. BUT... if you run the bilge fan for a couple minutes first... it will start right up.

Yep yep. Bilge pump is the answer.

It is there for a reason. To evacuate fumes from the hull. At a minimum this needs done for safety. Seadoo boats nearly require it for warm/hot restarts.
