Hello all, seems like this summer I’m on here every second day looking for help, I really do appreciate all that have helped so far. I was having a problem with engine cutting out at wot, as time went by started getting harder to restart, was out yesterday running 1500 rpm, and it just died and would not restart. I did notice the last couple times, the lift fuel pump( I think that’s what it is, pic attached) was clicking louder than normal when I turned the key to “on”. Ordered a new pump and filter hopefully be here soon. Is there anything else that would cause this?IMG_1081.JPG

Yes, that is the lift pump. It feeds the engine driven pump. It feeds the injector (VST) pump.

Same some $. Before replacing an item, check its function. Check fuel delivery from the pump. Maybe the problem is the fuel filter. Looking at 1st filter. There are 2 more.

Thanks Tim, I ordered both, because it was making some really loud clicking noises that didn’t sound normal or good. When I install do I have to bleed the system, to get air out?

Thanks, a buddy had a universal 12v low pressure pump, I hooked it up and it solved the problem started right up, but still going to switch it out when the marine one comes in.......
