Some background....about a year ago the oil level was low and the alarm went off. Filled oil tank with new oil and it seemed to fix the problem. Then had a few friends over and my son was not watching the tow rope and it got sucked up. I pulled to boat out of the water and took care of the rope.

Since then the 4 beeps every 2 minutes has been going off.
It won't reset. Oil level is good. Oil reservoir is good as well.
I checked the fuel water separator no water.

If I throttle full the engine sputters and coughs and the solid alarm comes on until I put it back in neutral.
I can gradually get the boat up to about 15 mph but any faster and the solid alarm comes on or engine begins to sputter again.

I have a friend that is a car mechanic and we have tried to research this problem. We think it is the fuel injectors.
I have replaced all of the spark plugs and some junk did come out when I turned it over without the plugs in.
I currently am running a can of seafoam through with new gas. I pumped 12 gallons of OLD gas out of the tank.

I need some help determining if it is the injectors. And if so...where can I find the diagram of the engine and injectors to have me and my friend do this ourselves.

Thanks
JG

The intermittent beeping is either water in the fuel, or Low oil. I would verify both.

The low oil should also trip a limited power situation. SO... that's probably the reason it won't rev up.

The beeping I had with my challenger this year sounded like a truck backing to a loading dock.... about a beep a second with the oil light on. When I checked my water separator I had some water. I dumped it and replaced the filter and the beeping and lit up oil light went away.

When I had water in the fuel it sputtered to a stall. After the fuel was pumped out and refilled it has run well.

oil level is good.
I will replace the water separator and see what happens before I look into the fuel injectors.

JG:

I started having the same problem a few weeks ago with 240 EFI in my 2004 Islandia. Were you able to figure out the cause of problem.
