Well, I finally finished witerizing by boat for the first time. Got a quick question for those that have been doing it for awhile.

I fogged the cylinders and the fuel rail. Pretty straight forward. Lubed the engine with spray to prevent rust.

Now here is where it gets interesting. I pulled the hoses to the super charger and let it drain. Not much water came out as I expected. Pulled the hose to the exhaust side and noticed a pretty good puddle of water under the boat after pouring the 10 oz of antifreeze into the hose. I guess I'm surprised by the water as I ran the boat dry for a few minutes and blew ( started engines and revved them) most if not all the water out. Is this normal ? It wasn't coming out the pump or exhaust port it appeared to be near the cooling plates on the hull.

I know I've got antifreeze in the intercooler and the exhasut manifold but was a little concerned about the water I saw on the ground. It was clear. New to the whole winterizing and just want to make sure it's protected. Let me know if I may have missed something or need to redo any part of the procedure called out here

don't ever run it dry for a few minutes, you'll cook your exhaust, I'm surprised your exhaust hi temp alarm didn't sound.

the only way water gets pumped through the exhaust cooling system is by the jet pump so when it's out of the water, there is no pump that will pump the system dry, the water just sits in there. you are just adding straight a/f to get a mixture with the existing water.

the water exits through the exhaust, that's probably where you were seeing it.

Hi Temp alarm

Oops yes it did trip the idiot light on the dash and I immediately shut it down. Hopefully that does not create another issue. What's the worst that can happen in that scenario ?

the worst is really bad but you should be fine as long as you shut it down after the alarm sounded.
