I need to add a 1 amp power line to the starboard cupholder at the dash. I have no idea where I can tap into an existing line or if I need to run a new line from the battery all the way forward. Anyone here done something like this?

Thanks

Can I ask why you need to run power to a cup holder? Does it have lights in it or something?

I added (2) 3 and (1) 10 amp circuit at the fuse box on the starboard side right in front of the captain seat on my Challenger 180. The frame of the fuse box comes off and unscrew the fuse board for access. You can buy the necessary connectors from a electrical supply store. Also added a new rocker switch in the dash for the blue speaker lights. The other two circuits are for my Lowrance and a 10 amp charger that was also added to the dash.

It's for a Garmin chartplotter.

I found in the manual where it says "Fuses for the accessories and the gauges are mounted in the gauge interface, located in the driver console ahead of the dash".

Anyone know where that is?

One amp fuse for a Garmin? My Lowrance Elite-5HDI Combo came with a 3 amp fuse.

The manual for the GPSMAP 640 says power requirements at 12v is .6 amps. It does come with a larger fuse.

My Lowrance Elite-5 HDI Combo is rated at 1.1 Amp probably because of the dual frequency transducer. Therefore a 3 Amp fuse is required.
