2018 RXT-X 300 intake grate bolt loose (my fault)

We had a tow rope get sucked into the impeller and my first instinct was to remove the grate to be able to cut the rope off the shaft. However, after I tried loosening the single bolt toward the bow, it now just spins but it won't come out and also won't tighten. I think it might have a nut in the bilge somewhere but I can't tell/see it right off.

Any tips on how to tighten it? It's not terribly loose, but I would feel better if it were tight.

You opened the proverbial can of worms, google seadoo intake grate bolt. Specially designed not to be taken off.

Pretty sure there's a retaining nut (part number 232581200) inside the hull just under the engine.

You have to get a wrench in there and have someone hold it while you tighten the bolt under the ski.

There's a video on youtube that shows this, but I can't find it.
