Out for some rides and I could smell coolant, which, I ignored, obviously. I had a recall coolant issue a couple of years ago but every time that was low the heat alarm would trigger but this time no audible or visual errors so I continued. Took my six year of out and all of a sudden we lost acceleration and it would make this god afoul sound if I tried to accelerated above idle so we rode idle home for 15 minutes. popped the top and coolant is below the low line, did I blow something important? I'm hoping the lost of acceleration is a safety feature and not a blown cylinder issue...

Check the forums, but there had been a lot posted about coolant hose clamps and blowing coolant hoses off. Check around and see if you any that have come off. Did it through any codes and or check engine light come on? If it is overheating, I believe that is one of the codes that will throw it into limp mode. Check you oil too to make sure it isn't something more major like a blown head gasket.
