Has anyone seen anything happen like this happen to their lens on the instrument cluster?

I have not... It is almost like there is a film on it and it got hot.
I would go to the dealer and see if there is some sort of a recall or something. If it were mine, I would NOT be happy at all..

Thanks, I am going to hose test it. I was also thinking it may be caused by gasoline vapors? It is right in the area where the gas tank is. I don't remember spilling any on it though. I will hit it with the garden hose and see if any water is coming in. I will ask when I take it in to the dealer about a recall.

Do you think if the seal is compromised, I could silicone it?

Vapor concern may be a good direction. The unit is supposed to be fully sealed. It may have lost its seal and allow fumes to enter from the backside.

Yes,,, if it is where the silicone will not be seen, use Black RTV as it is designed for oil and gas uses. Will last longer than the clear.

I sprayed water on the area and didn't notice any coming into the lens, it was still sealed well. I will check with the dealer for a recall. I will bet it is fuel vapors causing this. If not, I will just keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse.

Did you get any further info from dealer on this. I have a GTI 155 2011 and the same thing is happening to mine. Started last year and getting worse.

I haven't done anything yet. I will be taking it in to get a service soon and will ask about it then. If others are doing the same thing, I guess it wasn't something any of us did. Mine started at about 25 hours now it has only about 40.
When I bought the ski it was kept outside. I wonder if it is sun related? Do you keep yours outside?

Not sure, I doubt it would be covered though. I believe my warranty is up anyway. Maybe there is a recall or something though.

Knowing BRP they will fluff it off and find an excuse to not cover it under their warrantee. They don't cover any cosmetic flaws. ie my disgusting looking stained seat due to faulty materials.

Common problem in 2010-2013 which is called crazing especially GTI simpler gauges. BRP will replace if still under warranty just like the white seats that get pink dots and other discolorations on them. It will get worse and not much you can do except replace.

Just an update, I finally took it to the dealer and as expected no recalls on the gauges. It would have been covered under warranty I was told though.
