Hey All,

I have a strange problem occurring with my lights on my 2012 Speedster 150.

I understand that if I flip the toggle forward I am supposed to have the bow lights and the stern light but if I flip the toggle back I am just supposed to get the stern light.

When I flip the toggle for the lights, the LED on the toggle itself comes on, but the bow lights, stern light and dash illuminator may or may not come on. I would think that there is a short but once it does start working, it all works fine and stays on and I can turn it off and on 20 times and it will work as expected.

Then I can turn the lights off and come back in an hour and it might work and it might not work.

Usually I can cycle the power with the key a couple of times and then it starts all working. (That really should have nothing to do with the lights though)

I am afraid that I will get stuck out at night and not be able to get my lights on. I just have no idea on why it is working sometimes but not others.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

I do not know how the boats are wired, but it sounds like one of two the things. Poor connection at the rocket switch and or a relay acting up (if there is one).

The switches on the 2012 are not rocker switches like on the older boats. They are more of a toggle switch. I ordered some CAIG DeOxIT Liquid and I am hoping that I can apply it so that if there is some corrosion on the toggle, this will take care of that.
