2012 Speedster 150 Air Filter??

Hello Folks - Opened up my Speedster non SCIC with 9 hours on the clock and air filter looked pretty grimy. figure I would replace it, but original parts for SeaDoo are quoting $100 for an air filter!!!! :facepalm: You gotta be kidding me. This is absolute robbery relative to what I pay for a '13 Corvette or a lawn tractor. Any suggestions?

I put a k&n filter from the auto parts store and it fits great. It took a few hours for the the computer to adjust but now it runs great. I've had it in my 2009 speedster 150 255hp for about two years now with no problems. Another great thing about it is that it It can be cleaned and reused.

do you have any info on what specific k&n filter fit?

I used a universal cone shaped one. It was a little bit bigger than stock but fits perfectly.

For anyone that cares, the K&N RU-2430 is an exact replacement for the 2012 150 Speedster HO. I do not know what other boats are the same but this is an exact replacement that fit without any modifications.
