Hi,
I wanted to show someone the radio on the new challenger I just bought, so I re-connected the batteries, inseted the key and nothing on the display...the switches for bilge pump and blower switch work, but display is dead. I tried the engine and it starts??
Weird!!!
The dealer is closed for the weekend now, so I was just wondering if there are any hints from here...
I did check the fuse breakers under the driver's position and they seem ok...

It sounds like there may be more than a single wire that goes to the positive side of the battery. If not, then the single wire must feed some sort of a relay or dispearsement box.

CHeck for a missing wire first,,,,
If there is no missing wire at the battery, then go to where the wire joins up with the electronics box and check for voltage..

Could be the ignition switch as well as if it is bad, it would not feed the auxilarry equipment...

I thought you would just have to turn the key half way without starting the engine, and the radio should be available.

Yes, exactly, one click for the accessories and the second click for the engine...
I put a charger on the battry, maybe it wasn't fully charged??? I'll know in a few hours...

Would you believe this...I thought the 2 cables was one for negative and one for positive and they were both for negative. The positive was already attached...I attached the 2 cables on the negative and everything works great...glad I didn't short anything out by my error...Thanks to the dealer for pointing this out to me.
