2012 Jetski/Jetboat Spring Bash for Charity April 27th to 29th in St Pete

After weeks of work Tampa Bay Jetski Club & Orlando Watercraft riders have put together the first of the annual spring event. This event will be held at the Magnuson Hotel in St Pete, FL. We will have events going on all weekend from Friday night welcome party, Saturday poker run, demo rides, slalom course timed event and the evening party for the prize awards. This will be benefiting the charity Give Kids The World. You can visit the event website and register by visiting www.jetskibash.com. Register early to save money and reserve your room before they are gone. We have great prizes from many different sponsors and contributors. It can only be great with support from our fellow riders so lets show our support by registering now so we can impress even more vendors to support the event with prize packages. At this time you will see the great grand prize we have from Cycle Springs the main sponsor of the event. We also have weekend stays, watercraft accessories and other great prizes.

Key points;

Reserve your room before they are gone, limited space at the $89 room rate.
Each ticket purchased gets you into the Poker Run and Slalom course competition and swap meet.
The earlier you purchase your tickets the cheaper it will be, the price goes up the closer to the event it is.
This event is open to jetskis and jetboats.

the ramp is Maximo and I don't recall is it has a hose. But there is a hose at the host hotel which we have used before.

As far how many, so far there are about 30 rooms booked...so you figure at least two people a room, plus a bunch of locals.....you do the math. There have been about 35 early bird tickets sold so far, but you have until March 9th to buy them at the special price and until the day of to buy them at the regular price.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if we reach our goal of 100 people! :thumbsup:

We're working on a scavenger hunt around the hotel Friday to allow everyone to get to know everyone.

oops, thanks for the reminder, I plan on coming up with 3 or 4 buddies, we'll probably just do a drive up and back in one day and skip the hotel thing... i'll have to ponder the hotel idea. But for right now our tenative plan is to leave really really early Saturday morning, ski all day and then drive hom.

don't worry about flushing griz, 2 days isn't going to hurt anything

and the weather is warm again, we're doing the peace river on Saturday the 10th if you wanna make the drive !

we're doing the peace today, 7 ski's, should be a good run. hoping to see a few cigar boats today as well, one of the poker run stops is about 7 miles from our launch.

looking forward to the event ... should be a Bashing good time !

We have a few more contributors to add to our list...SUN BUM sun screen & Jägermeister have contributed some stuff plus 5 Hour Energy will be there to energize us!

With a total of 72 tickets sold so far, spread the word...let's make it 100 before the event!!

found another sponser today if u all are interested , barneys of brandon, i stopped in today and bought some oil, talked with general manager joshua levine, his email is jlavine@barneys.net, he said they have a demo fleet of 6 skis and 1 boat along with tents, generators, etc, he would bring, if u all want another sponsor, i think it would be great !!!! his telephone number is 813-628-9418

Thanks griz. Cycle Springs is our premier sponsor, they are providing all staff, grand prize and demos so we don't need another PWC dealer there. I have contacted Barneys before about donating silent auction items etc to help raise money for the charity, but they declined.

called tonight to reserve a room for 2 hights, looks like the block of rooms they reserved is sold out -- they only reserved 25 - 30 rooms motel said, so instead of 89.00 try 129.00 -- lol - .... mighta wasted my money for 2 tickets i bought -0- why in the hell would they reserve 25 rooms ????

checked online, says 89.00 -- so who knows, ill wait to hear from sponsors
dont know where these rooms are ??

Griz, at this point there are over 40 rooms booked at the hotel at our special rate of $89. The hotel will do everything they can to accommodate people who have not yet booked their rooms. But thats why the jetskibash.com website said "REMEMBER TO BOOK EARLY before they sell out"
