2012 GTX Display Not Working

NonCertified

New Member
The display was working and then quit, I changed out the cluster with a new one that was working then it stopped, I Completely changed out the wiring harness(complete harness fuse box and all) and changed the 30 amp relay as well still nothing before when it was working, it runs perfectly fine. Just don’t wanna take it out without any gauges. What would cause something like this to stop working? Is there anyway to test my clusters?

Have you checked the fuse for the instrument cluster? Does the cluster have power and ground?

If you’re handy with wiring and diagnostics, you could remove the cluster and bench test it to see if it powers up independently from the ski. That way you’ll be able to narrow down if the problem is with the cluster, or within the ski wiring somewhere.

I agree with the other repo se as well, there’s a dedicated gauge fuse…..check to make sure it’s not corroded or blown.

I did have a ground problem before the three negative wires that connect to the front of the block. One screw fell under the motor so two those ground wires are being held in with one screw and the other as it’s supposed to be. would that be a ground for the cluster because if so, that may be my issue.

Is it the 30 amp Relay in the fuse box? If so I’ve changed it. If not what should I look for.

where is the fuse for instrument cluster? I have a 2002 GTX 4TEC that is acting the same way. starts and runs fine, but cluster is blank and no working gauges.
