2011 GTI splash salt water on engine

I have a 2011 seadoo GTI. Every time I use it I have to wash the engine, because salt splash water goes into that space between the seat. Also, once I wash it, the water doesn't does out at the hole on the back, so I have to take it out with a sponge. Does anyone have any idea how to avoid that? My last 2007 GTI was different, I never had to wash the engine, because it didn't get wet!
