I was out boating the other day and the lake water temperature was reading around 74 deg F which is what I would expect. We ran for about 20-30 mins and all was ok.

Stopped to get fuel at the marina and as I was leaving, the lake water temperature started to slowly warm up and then reached 99 deg F. Then it beeped once and the temperature just read --, which I think is that the temperature is above 99 deg F.

I have looked in the 2011 manuals and cannot find a Lake water temperature sensor or find it's location. Does anyone know where it is located or a part number for it?

On my Speedster, the lake temp sensor is integrated into the speedometer wheel at the transom.

I am not sure yours is the same..

I know for me it can be disrupted by the exhaust water at times.

I read that as well .. I think with the 2011, the speedo is GPS based so there is no wheel at the transom.

Anyone else with thoughts?
